About Us

Saurashtra Live (સૌરાષ્ટ્ર લાઇવ) is a Gujarati news site covering Saurashtra — Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Morbi and the districts around them. Farming, market rates, government business and everyday events in the region.

This page is in English because it is here for people checking who we are: reviewers, advertisers and anyone verifying compliance. The journalism itself is in Gujarati, because our readers are.

Ownership and funding

This site is independent. It is not owned or funded by any political party, government body or company, and no outside party has a say in what is published.

There is no advertising on the site and no paid coverage. If that changes we will say so here, any paid placement will be labelled and kept visually separate from journalism, and advertisers will still have no say over what we publish.

How we work

Dates, figures, fees and government decisions are taken from the original document or the official announcement, and we link to it in the article. Rumour, and whatever is circulating on WhatsApp, does not run here until it has been checked. The full rules — including what we refuse to publish — are on the Editorial Policy page.

Who writes here

Every article carries a byline, and each byline leads to a page saying who wrote it and what they cover — see our writers. An article bylined to the desk is one that more than one person put together.

When we get it wrong

Mistakes happen, and they are not hidden here. We correct the article and show the correction date on it, so you can see that something changed. Report an error to [email protected] with a link to the article, or read the full corrections procedure.

Your privacy

The site has no advertising network and no social tracking pixel. Two Google services do run, and both — along with every cookie they set — are set out in our Privacy Policy.

Contact

News tips, corrections and complaints all go to the same address — see Contact Us. Formal grievances under the IT Rules 2021 go through our grievance redressal mechanism.
